Kim grew up in a Pennsylvania Dutch home as the last of six children. Her mother had Kim when she was 40 years old. At a very young age, she began to question whether or not she truly was meant to be born. She struggled socially and many times felt as if she was a huge mistake.
It wasn’t until her older sister invited her to a Bible study where Kim began to hear God’s truth. She began to hear that God “knitted her in her mother’s womb” and that “in His book were written the days that were ordained for her.” God’s Word began to change her and she began to have a thirst for studying the Bible.
Kim’s father was a hard worker but raising six children on one income was very difficult. At the age of 13, she began to work in a restaurant/bar in order to purchase clothes for herself. During this time, she began to see and experience things that no 13 year old should ever see. Kim started to fall into temptation and she began to pull away from God. However, God was not going to let her go so easily. He pursued Kim and never stopped wooing her to come back to her first love.
At the age of 19, Kim lost her mother to cancer. It was a horrible time in her life but it caused her to fall on her knees and turn back to God. Once again, His Word became her lifeline. During this time of loneliness, Kim felt the love of God like never before. The Bible became a love letter to her filled with precious promises of God never leaving or forsaking her. From that point on, Kim has never been the same.
Kim’s ministry is founded on John 8:32 “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Kim believes that the Word of God will bring victory and healing to all areas of our lives. She draws from her personal experiences of living a life of rejection, losing her mother to cancer and searching for love as she powerfully communicates to others that we have hope in Jesus Christ. Her sincerity touches your heart as she teaches and explores the Word of God to expose the lies we have allowed in our heart and she brings forth the Truth, which is that God loves us and takes delight in us. One minute she will have you crying and the next you will be filled with laughter. Her passion will ignite you to take the steps forward in your walk with God.
